Litigation Support and Testimonials
California: We have been unable to identify a bank security consultant and expert
who we feel can best represent the important case that we have at hand. We also understand that we will likely
have to retain an out-of-state expert in order to bring in a quality professional. However, we are pleased to
advise that you have been selected for this role, and that a signed copy of your Consulting Agreement, as well
as a retainer check, have been placed into the mail to you.
District of Columbia: You are one of the few experts that I have known who has the ability to take
a very complicated set of circumstances, which are at issue, consider and organize them, and then present them
in a very logical and clear written or oral fashion. You are an excellent teacher and as I have listened to you,
you have taught me. If you are not an adjunct professor at a college or university in your area, you should seek
out such a position as you are wasting a valuable skill and service if you do not. (Application with the University
of Connecticut has been submitted.)
Connecticut: Plaintiff’s expert is someone you know, who is also an attorney, and is very good at what
he does. At the same time you have the reputation as being someone who has what it takes to equal or better his
efforts. Because of this we would like to engage you to assist us in defending this important case.
Connecticut: For the past eight years we have engaged a security expert, who is also an attorney who
you know. I would like you to know that you have taught me more about security over the past three hours than
I learned from him in those eight years.
Florida: We spent the morning looking around the Internet for a security expert to support a case that
we are about to file. Your website presentation was by far the best we viewed. Where most present only an e-mail
address to respond to, your site is very professional, well organized, easy to view, and contains a wealth of valuable
information. And now after speaking with you, we will now likely engage your services.
Kansas: I have retained John W. Kennish as an expert witness in premise liability litigation matters
relating to the owner's failure to provide security. Mr. Kennish testified relating to the owner/operator of the
premises' failure to provide security personnel and the failure to provide training for employees and to establish
admission standards and security devices such as external lighting and surveillance. Mr. Kennish conducted the
initial investigation, prepared an excellent analysis and report, was well prepared for his deposition testimony
and I would recommend him to others for employment in this area.
Tennessee: My nationwide search of experts indicates my belief you are the best qualified for this particular
matter.
Florida: I am pleased to advise you that we were able to resolve the case at mediation. The mediation
settlement was a direct result of your expert and superb analysis of the banking institution's negligence as presented
at your deposition. Before your deposition, the bank's position was that the customer's own negligence greatly
contributed to his injury. This was dispelled by you in relating the many negligent aspects that the bank was
engaged in concerning customer use of their ATM and it's location after banking hours. Once again, thank you for
your help on this case. We look forward to the next time we will be able to use your services, and rest assured:
I will use you in future cases.
Michigan: I wanted to thank you for your excellent report on such very short notice.
Florida: After being retained as the defense expert for a bank robbery death and serious injury case,
I went to Florida and discussed my approach with the case attorney. His thoughts regarding the security issues
of the case were quite different from mine. When I would not concede to his way of thinking, this led to an obvious
problem. His comment was ... “As your approach is different from mine, how can I use you as my security expert
?” As such, I withdrew from the case to avoid an obvious conflict. When the case went to trial my former client
attorney posed his security theory to the jury, through his new expert, as did the plaintiff theirs ... and the
plaintiff prevailed. In turn a resulting sympathetic jury then awarded the plaintiff a significant amount.
North Carolina: We are looking for a bank security expert who has the skill to take all of the significant
amount of information that we have collected on this case under consideration, and to then both plot a successful
strategy, and develop an organized and effective report for presentation purposes ... and we have been told by
another leading bank security consultant that you are such a person.
Wyoming: Yes, there is an increased cost factor involved in bringing an expert into this case from Connecticut,
however, our intent is to prevail, and you have by far the best qualifications of any security consultant that
we evaluated.
Chief of Police: I looked over your material, and it is exactly what I was looking for. We discussed
you at today's staff meeting, and we will now schedule you to come out to Oregon to do a Security Conference for
our banks, other businesses, and local law enforcement officers.
Indiana: $ 3 million settlement in an Indianapolis ATM aggravated assault case.
Florida: I wanted to let you know that we have just been able to settle this difficult case just prior
to your having to come to Miami for trial. Your work has been fantastic, and your involvement was critical to
this successful outcome. I have recently referred your services to several other firms, and we will also be using
you again. Thank you for a job well done.
New Jersey: Great report ! Please FAX me a final copy for our mediation session.
Texas: The three of us who are involved with this case have reviewed your DRAFT opinion report and it
is fine as written. Please FedEx us your final copy and thank you.
Georgia: Your deposition was excellent: thank you.
Florida: I'd give your deposition an A-: good job.
Pennsylvania: Your deposition was excellent: great job.
Rhode Island: I wish to extend my gratitude for your professional consultation. Based upon your advice,
co-counsel and myself were able to discern the questionable merits of our client's claims. The matter has now
been settled for a nominal amount.
New York: Sorry that it took me so long to get back to you, but my firm, the defendant, and their insurance
carrier all wanted to evaluate the dozen or so experts that we received materials from. And I am pleased to advise,
that you are the one who has been selected to help us with our important case.
Massachusetts: Thank you for your letter with respect to this case. Obviously, we are all very disappointed
in the results of this trial. We believe that actions of the Court were the cause of the adverse verdict, and
we have filed a Motion for a New Trial, and will let you know if anything develops. I
also want you to know that I thought your testimony was excellent. Thank you for your assistance.
Wisconsin: It was a pleasure meeting you this week, to conduct a crime scene survey, and to review the
case. I learned quite a bit, and think that our discussions will greatly help me in preparing for my upcoming
depositions of the defendants.
Tennessee: I have received your FAX'd draft opinion report, and it is outstanding. Please prepare a
final version immediately and send it to me by mail so that I may forward it on to counsel. Thank you so much
for your cooperation.
New York: Yes, I know that there are other experts who are more familiar with the New York City Courts,
and that they are lower in cost as they also live in New York, however, we would like to engage your services for
this case.
Michigan: I have received your FAX'd materials and I believe that you are just the consultant and expert
we need for this matter. Please also FAX over your retainer agreement and we will promptly return same with a
retainer fee and materials for you to review.
Florida: This is my first premise security case and I require an expert who has the ability to also
teach me as we proceed, and you have that reputation.
Florida: Your deposition was excellent. Thank you.
Florida: Opposing defense attorney ... Your report and opinions are excellent. If your report had
not been so comprehensive, we would have been out of here hours ago.
Michigan: I wanted you to know that our case went before a bench trial in front
of a Judge last week, and that we will have a decision in about two weeks. More importantly I wanted you to know
that your deposition of earlier this month was excellent, was well received by the Judge, and in fact supported
the case testimony in exactly the way we had hoped the engagement of a security expert would. We were well pleased
with your performance and will be calling on you again. Thank you for a job well done.
